Compression Socks

Compression socks apply close, graduated pressure to the lower leg, so they are different from loose-top or non-binding comfort socks.

Our current range includes an active daily-wear option and a sport-focused option. Both are available in several sizes and are designed for a secure fit around the foot and lower leg. Select the exact product and size from its measurements and intended use; do not choose compression solely from ordinary shoe size.

More about our compression socks

Daily and sport options

The daily-wear sock is aimed at standing, sitting, travel and general activity, while the sport option uses a performance-focused construction for training and active wear. Both product pages identify their materials, sizing and design details.

Compression is not non-binding hosiery

Compression socks are deliberately close-fitting. A diabetic-friendly non-binding sock is designed around a different need: limiting a tight cuff or raised contact point. The two types are not interchangeable.

Choosing and applying the correct size

Use the ankle and calf measurements specified for the product, apply the sock smoothly without folds and make sure the top band is not rolled. If a clinician has prescribed a particular compression class, follow that prescription rather than substituting a retail product.

Questions we are asked

Which compression level should I choose?

That depends on why compression is being used. Ask the clinician who advised it if you have swelling, vascular disease, diabetes, reduced sensation or a prescribed compression requirement.

Can I wear compression socks every day?

Follow the product instructions and any clinical advice you have received. Remove them and seek advice if they cause pain, numbness, unusual colour change or a persistent mark.

Are these the same as diabetic socks?

No. See diabetic friendly socks for the non-binding therapeutic sock and an explanation of the difference.

Compression should not be used to self-manage new one-sided swelling, heat, redness or unexplained leg pain; seek prompt medical advice.
